Middle Waves is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization. Because there is no paid staff to run the operations, we have a large group of dedicated committee leaders that work year-round to turn festival dreams into amazing reality. These positions will work with our Vendor Captain to coordinate vendors on East & West sides during the festival. You’ll help check in and out vendors and be available to them to answer any questions. Position will work with vendor captain leading up to the event and throughout the festival weekend from Friday morning to Saturday night. Possible pre-festival duties include: confirming logistical and contract details and arrival/departure schedules with all vendors, coordinating with the logistics committee on vendor placement and power needs, confirming with the marketing committee on vendor placement on the festival map, and all other duties as identified by the Vendor Captain.
The Sponsor Coordinator will manage operational support to the Sponsorship Chair and other committee members actively recruiting Middle Waves sponsors. This position will work regularly leading up to the festival and during the festival. Possible pre-festival duties include: tracking sponsors information and reporting, leading follow-up sponsorship communications after a sponsor has been confirmed, coordinating with the Finance Chair and Ticketing Chair to ensure timely invoicing and ticket delivery, and working with the Sponsorship Chair on all sponsor relations activities leading up to and during the festival. Possible festival weekend duties include: coordinating on-site sponsor relations activities, such as tours.
The Volunteer Assistant will work with the Volunteer Captain on MVV training and coordinating volunteers. This position will work minimally up to the festival, with heavier needs coming during MVV training (a few weeks before the festival) and throughout the festival weekend from setup on Thursday to tear down on Sunday.
The Customer Experience Captain will lead efforts to foster customer loyalty through high-quality interactions at each point of the Middle Waves experience. This position may work minimally prior to the festival, with heavier needs coming the weeks leading up to the festival and throughout the festival weekend. Possible pre-festival duties include: working with the MWs leadership to identify and plan customer experience activities, recruiting 2-3 customer experience champions to act as members of the customer experience team during the festival weekend. Festival weekend duties include: leading customer experience efforts throughout the festival, provide quick response to festival-goer inquiries and questions and coordinating prompt resolution to customer issues.
