Most Valuable Volunteers (MVV)

Middle Waves volunteers are the backbone of our festival. They’re the first smile, high-five, head nod or compliment you may come across on festival grounds. And they do anything from slinging merch to selling tickets or setting up fences.

We LOVE our MVVs! 🙌

It’s not all work as an MVV. Volunteers have the option to purchase Middle Waves Weekend Passes for a discounted price depending on which task and shift you choose to volunteer. Once signed up to work, our volunteer team will provide you with a code to purchase a Middle Waves pass at the volunteer price. If you signed up and did not receive your ticket code, please email volunteers@middlewaves.com and we’ll hook you up.

A few ground rules—

  1. Be an awesome steward of the Middle Waves vibe.
  2. You must show up for your shift. If you are a no show/no call, you will not be able to volunteer in the coming years. Also, if you don’t show up and you redeem your discounted ticket, we will charge you the full weekend pass amount for the ticket you purchased—GA or VVIP.
  3. Be at least 18 years old.
  4. MVVs must rock their special MVV shirt during their shift. Then you must go back to your regular duds as soon as your shift is over. (Yes – they are they same awesome material as last year’s MVV shirts!)
  5. Check out this MVV Guide for some basic safety and general MVV info.
  6. Agree to our MVV Waiver! Your signup, is your consent.
  7. Attend a MVV Training Session. Two options are available. You only need to attend one of the sessions. MVV Training will be held Wednesday, May 27th at 5:30 PM AND Thursday, June 4th from 7 – 8 PM at the old General Electric gym on the West side of the Electric Works campus (1030 Swinney Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46802 — Building 23). You can pick up your shirt at this time.
  8. Have an incredible time!

If you would like to get a ticket at a discounted rate:

  1. Sign up for one or more shifts on SignUp Genius.
  2. Wait for an email to come with your unique ticket link to be used on the Middle Waves Eventbrite site and get the discounted rate dependent on your volunteer shift(s). We will send you your unique code within a few days of your signup.
  3. Go to the Middle Waves Eventbrite site with your emailed unique ticket link and purchase your discounted ticket.
  4. Count down the days until the festival weekend!
  5. Tell your friends to sign up too!
